New pics of The Hives and (International) Noise Conspiracy from the Hurricane and Southside Festival in Germany now up at Rockfoto.nu.
Peter, Bjorn & John are now the album of the month. I've been a big fan of these guys ever since I've first heard 'em and the new EP is fantastic. Great songs, great playing and even a great recording. Always good to hear a band use the studio in interesting ways. Be sure to check out the mp3 on the right as well. Can't wait for the full-length from Planekonomi this fall.

Opeth mainman Mikael Åkerfeldt has reportedly starting work on new material. The band tentatively plans to enter the studio in spring next year to begin recording. In other news, Mikael recently visited No Man Studios in Hemel Hampstead, UK to lay down some guest tracks on the upcoming Porcupine Tree album. He plays guitar on one song and sings backups on five. It's expected to be released later on this year.
