Norwegian hard-rockers We shot a video for the song "Catch Electrique" yesterday with actress Ane Dahl Torp at a racetrack right outside Oslo. I presume that track will be the lead single from the just-completed new album "Smugglers", due out this coming fall.

Norwegian singer/songwriter Thomas Dybdahl together with Nils Erga of Noxagt have produced the soundtrack for the upcoming film "Monstertorsdag". It hits theatres on October 9. Also coming in October from Thomas will be his brand new full-length album. More details when I get them. His 2002 album ""....That Great October Sound" will get a European release on June 26 via Glitterhouse.

Covenant has resigned with SubSpace Communications. The Helsingborg, Sweden-based electronic act will soon begin work on their sixth album, tentatively set for an early 2005 release.

The Carnation will be doing a few shows in Germany. Here's the first confirmed dates:

The Unisex will release their third EP "Watching Traffic" on UK label Shify Disco on July 19. The disc will include four songs ("Go Again", "Castle Of Air", "Break The Silence" and "La Familia") plus the video for the lead track.

Finnish prog group (or as they say, horny and punky secret agent brass music) Alamaailman Vasarat will be teaming up with Tuomari Nurmio and Tohtori Hillilä to work on a brand new album. The collaboration will feature the band and Hillilä playing all new songs written by Tuomari who will also lend his 'distinctive vocals and lyrics' to the proceedings. The instrumentation will include two drum sets along with bass saxophone and other new instruments, ensuring that it will be 'an interesting musical exploration for all three parties involved.' A few of the tracks will be debuted at various gigs this summer and the album itself is due out early next year.

Magnet has been confirmed for the V Festival just outside of London. The set time is still yet-to-be-determined, but he'll play on Saturday August 21 at Weston Park, Staffordshire and Sunday August 22 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford.
