In other news, the band will be making their triumphant return to the stage on March 18 after two whole years of not playing out. The show will be at UFFA in Trondheim, Norway with True North and the great Trapdoor Fucking Exit, so if you're in the neighborhood you should definitely stop by.

Norwegian viking metal band Einherjer has decided to lay the band to rest. Their statement:

"After 11 years, 4 albums and 2 mini-albums, we've decided to split up Einherjer. We feel that we've made the album we wanted with "Blot" and therefore a journey of 11 years has come to an end. We would like to thank everybody who has supported us through the years.

For us, it is time to move on. We are definitively not retiring as musicians, so you haven't heard the last from us yet…

Regards, Frode, Aksel & Gerhard"

Ooh, the record is also a subject of focus on MI: http://www.musikindustrin.nu/mi/smpage.fwx?page=191&I_FOKUS=4158 (in Swedish)

It'll probably stress out my bandwidth, but I've added a couple tracks from The Hellacopters Peel Session they did last year. Of course it's absolutely amazing, so be sure to check it out.

That song that Randy recorded with Fat Mike in SF was called "Dont let your babies grow up to be punk rockers" and I guess that definitely means they didn't play it at the show I saw. It'll be on an upcoming Burning Heart comp. The band also says they might come back in April, but nothing's set yet. Wait and see!

The brand new (International) Noise Conspiracy album will come out in May and will be called "Armed Love".

The Knife is getting ready to strike out beyond their borders. On March 8 the band's own Rabid Records will release the self-titled debut in England, but before that they'll put out a special edition 10" on February 23. That release will feature the tracks "Kino", "Bird" and "NY Hotel" from the first album and "High School Poem" from the "Hannah Med H" soundtrack that came out recently. And then in autumn look for their breakout release "Deep Cuts" to hit stores. Will international stardom soon follow?
