Cavin will be the first Dead Frog Records band to release an album in the new year. They'll be having a record release show for "Nevertheless" on January 31 at Katalin in at Uppsala, Sweden. Fellow DFR act Waver is set to support.
Since C.Armeé likes to be vague, they've announced their record release show for the new album on Burning Heart will be February 27, but they're not saying where yet.

Dolores Records will be reissuing the out-of-print "Instrumentalmusik" solo debut album from Björn Olsson. There's no release date confirmed yet, but it should come as good news for those of you in Sweden contemplating ordering from the US where we can still get it.

In case you were wondering who was going to be playing drums for Soilwork after yesterday's news, the band announced today that Dirk Verbeuren of Scarve will be filling in on the upcoming European tourdates.
Norweigan black metal act Dimmu Borgir has cancelled their upcoming Australian and Japan tour plans in February. No reason was given for the move, though I assume we'll get an explanation or excuse soon.

Karmageddon Media (nee Hammerheart Records) is launching a new sublabel for more "underground"-styled metal acts called New Aeon Media and has announced their first three signings. First is Finland's Final Dawn who are described as a mix of Rotting Christ, Sentenced and older Megadeth. Second is the old-school Swedish death metal band Ribspreader who happen to feature producer/musician Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Bloodbath, etc.) in their ranks. And lastly, there's the brutal death band Judgement Day from the Netherlands. I'm not seeing release dates yet, but I assume it won't be far away. Usigned acts are also encouraged to send promotional materials:
