The band also plans to enter Gula Studion in Malmö with longtime producer Jens Lindgård (Franz Ferdinand, Cardigans, Saint Etienne) sometime later this spring.

KVLR has confirmed February 23 as the European release date for their new self-titled album through Stickman Records. Chalksounds will also be joining up with them for a super-limited edition vinyl version of 500 copies to be released in early March. The first single "Slow Clapping" is being pressed right now and should be sent out to radio later this month. Look for a video to come soon, too. Oh yeah, and one more thing: look for dates with Last Days of April in Sweden for February.

Ex-Immortal and current Grimfist drummer Horgh has joined long-running Swedish death metal act Hypocrisy. It seems that former drummer Lars Szöke could not cope with the band's long and hectic upcoming tour schedule, so he was forced to step down from the position. Of course this also means that Grimfist's scheduled appearance at the upcoming Inferno Fest in Norway has been cancelled. A replacement act is due to be announced shortly.

And speaking of upcoming Hypocrisy tours, besides the impending US trek with Cannibal Corpse in February, they'll also be joining up together for the "No Mercy Festivals" tour in Europe with Kataklysm, Carpathian Forest, Vomitory, Exhumed, Spawn of Possession and Prejudice. Dates:

Dark Tranquility report that the songwriting for a new album "is commencing with full force" and they plan to enter the studio soon to begin work on their seventh album.

Promenade Recordings will be putting out a new 7" from 1999 who they describe as "the great missing link between Television and Siouxie and the Banshees."
