I'm not sure why I didn't hear any advance notice about it, but Evil Tordivel's album "A fine young man" received proper release in the UK and some other European countries this week. Long-time readers might remember my review from ages ago. Anyhow, the album has grown on me quite a bit since then and it's well worth checking out. It's still a bit of a bewildering listen for one sitting, but that can be a good thing. There's talks of a small tour this coming fall with labelmates Datarock, but nothing's been set yet. That group's own release, the "Computercamp Love" EP, received the full UK/Europe release recently as well.

Blanka has finally confirmed that they will release their debut full-length on August 25 via Diapazam Records. The first single "Restless" ships out on July 25.

Also in the works from Diapazam is the debut EP from Elmo Red on September 22. The single "Don't fall on me today" comes out August 20.
