Bergen, Norway-based act Annie has finished her album debut, to be released on 679 Recordings in September. The first single "Chewing Gum" was produced by Richard X and will be released as a limited edition 7" in the very near future.

Music for Nations, home of bands such as Opeth, Hardcore Superstar and countless more, has closed. The company's vast back catalogue will be handled by parent company Zomba Records Group going forward. As for the fate of band's currently on their roster, wait and see.

Looks like Swedish metalcore act Face Down is active once again and ex-Haunted vocalist Marco Aro is back and not retiring from music as he once said. The band, who previously released two albums in the mid-90s, have reportedly signed a deal with Sound Pollution imprint Black Lodge Records.
