Apocalyptica, the Finnish all-cello classical crossover success-story, is looking to take it to the next level with their new single "Bittersweet", due out on November 29. The track features guest vocals from what I suppose are two of Finland's biggest rockstars: Lauri Ylönen of The Rasmus and Ville Valo of HIM. The song was written as a collaboration between the band and the two frontman and is the first single from the band's new album, due out early next year. A video was filmed in Helsinki with director Antti Jokinen (Nightwish, Celine Dion, Shania Twain) as well.

Katatonia reports that they are done with touring for the year and will take the winter off to write and record for what will become their seventh album.
