Imperial State Electric and Bloodlights, two overrated rock acts featuring members from bands that used to be good, will be touring together in November and will be putting out a split 7" with the two bands. I'm not sure what Bloodlights is doing, but ISE is covering "Castaway" by Greg Kihn. Dates at myspace: http://www.myspace.com/imperialstateelectric
The new Lykke Li single "Get some" will be posted as a free download on October 25 and will also be available on 7" vinyl b/w exclusive track "Paris blue". As for her next full-length, expect something in early 2011.

Excellent Malmö-based indie act Pixie Carnation reports that they have finished recording their debut full-length and are now currently mixing/mastering at Svenska Grammofon with Kalle Gustafsson Jerneholm (TSOOL). There's no confirmed title or label yet, but the album will contain 11 tracks, including 4 re-recorded versions of songs from the group's "Fresh poems" EP, and it should be out sometime early next year.
Danish heavies Rising are now streaming two brand new tracks at myspace off their forthcoming 7", due out November 29 via : http://www.myspace.com/risingdk
In other news, the band's self-titled debut EP will be getting a much-needed 12" vinyl release on November 29 as well, via German label in an edition of 500 copies, 150 on white.
