"Please pleaze me" is the first sample tune off Swedish psych-rockers Dean Allen Foyd's upcoming album "The sounds can be so cruel", due out March 27 via .
Moresubmissions from the inbox of unknown (to me) artists. Temilia is a Swedish latebloomer who came to the rock'n'roll thing much later in life than most, but she's not letting that get in the way of her artistic ambitions. "Som du sa" is the first track off her new EP "Klä av mig" which can be streamed in full right here.
I'd love to show you the new Gunnhild Sundli video that just came out today, but it's blocked here in the US so here instead is a great live recording of her playing by:Larm this past weekend.
New dismal sounds from the dark side of Sweden via the new cassette-only label who will be officially opening their doors on February 24. Head to their website to get a heads-up on when you can grab one of their severely limited offerings: http://www.belaten.se/
Straight-up Swedish indie/alt-rock, complete with ye requisite glockenspiel. Centimeter's sound is like comfort food; it won't blow your mind, but it is entirely satisfying all the same. More at SoundCloud: http://soundcloud.com/centimeter
Great news for Malmö residents who like to dance! Norway's 120 Days have been added to the lineup of our It's a Trap! Clubnight and will get the crowd moving before breakout Swedish pop sensation Caotico takes over and keeps it going late into the night. Be there!
Far too uncomfortably close to thrash-funk for my personal tastes, but here you go anyway. Doffs Poi is the latest signing to Norwegian label and "Anyhow" is their debut single.
"Nothing is real" is the lead single from the upcoming Baby Woodrose album "Third eye surgery", due out April 16 via . Grab a free download of said tune in exchange for an email address: http://badafro.dk/artists/baby-woodrose/nothing-is-real
I received quite a bit of great new music in my inbox over the long weekend, so much so that I'm having a bit of trouble getting through it all. Thankfully, this new EP from Umeå tweepop act The Belljars is short, sweet, easy to digest and very very easy to recommend. Great use of violin too, much like Ironville, another great Swedish pop act that doesn't get nearly enough attention.
