Vocalist Pete Beck of Norwegian metal band Griffin has suffered a heart attack and is currently recovering at the hospital. As of this time all of the band's future plans including their scheduled performance at Wacken Open Air are on hold as they await updated information regarding his condition. More info to come.

Apparently Rickard from Hell on Wheels was originally set to do that duet on the new David & the Citizens "Big Chill" EP instead of Mattias Alkberg from Bear Quartet. Who knew? Denmark's Crunchy Frog Records has announced the details for their upcoming Vibracrunch Festival in Malmö, Sweden on August 14. So far confirmed on the bill are Moongringo and Money Your Love, the latter featuring Lars I Lommen who tours as a backup singer in Junior Senior's band.

Norwegian band Age of Silence has finished work on their debut album "Acceleration" for release in August via The End Records. Recording was carried out at the Taproom in Norway and mixing is being handled by producer Andy Winter and mixing engineer Sheldon Zaharko (Marilyn Manson, Rob Halford) at The Factory in Canada. The band consists of members from Winds, Mayhem and Solefald, so no doubt there are a lot of people looking forward to hearing this.

Last Days of April is playing the Metro in London on May 10. Fellow Swedes and Deep Elm artists Sounds Like Violence play the same venue on June 11.

Gluecifer reports that their latest album "Automatic thrill" might be getting a US release sometime around June. The band plans to tour over in support as well. In other news, there's a DVD project in the works. Next Saturday's show in Bergen is being recorded with a full film crew for eventual inclusion on said release. And lastly, there's a second single in works, probably for the song "Here come the pigs".
