Here's the fall release schedule for Norwegian avant-label Rune Grammofon:

09/27: Strønen/Storløkken - Humcrush - Excellent debut from Food drummer and Supersilent keyboardist.
10/11: Scorch Trio - Luggumt - Great second album from power trio led by guitarist Raoul Björkenheim.
11/18: Food - Last Supper - Beautiful album, the last one with Arve Henriksen on trumpet.
11/02: Nils Økland - Bris - Long awaited follow-up to Straum from 2000. You won´t be dissapointed!

Madrugada will be releasing a video for their new download-only single "Blood Shot Adult Commitment" in the near future. They originally filmed footage of the band playing on top of the Ringnes building in Oslo where they practice, but instead will use new similar footage from their recent trip to New York. It was also originally reported that they were going to use a brand new recording for the single that sounded more like the live version of the song, but will instead use an edited version of the original from the album as to not needlessly confuse potential new fans in the UK.

Norwegian singer/songwriter Magnet will have his single "Lay Lady Lay" featured in episode 5 of this coming season's TV program "The OC" here in the US. Quite a few indie/underground acts have benefitted greatly from exposure on this show, so it'll be interesting to see if it catches on.

Hopefully, now that Bad Taste has more US distro, Logh will finally get the international recognition they deserve.

Vried is the name of a new band featuring the three remaining members of Norwegian black-metal act Windir along with longtime friend Ese on guitar. The group recently signed a three-album deal with Tabu Recordings and will release their debut album "Kraft" on October 25. The sound is described as a continuation of what bassist Hváll did with his other acts Windir and Ulcus, but with "its own personal sound — a mixture of the ambience of Windir, the rawness of Norwegian black metal and the rocking groove of Motörhead."

Big congrats to the guys in Opeth. Guitarist Peter Lindgren recently married longtime girlfriend Jessica Svensson and frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt just became a father of a baby girl this past week.
