Music Connection Magazine has posted a profile on Danish producer/engineer Thomas Troelsen who is currently working on Junior Senior's new album and whose resumé includes Whyte Seeds and Melody Club along with US acts Le Tigre and Beck: http://www.musicconnection.com/currentissue/crosstalk/crosstalk.lcgi
Thomas was also a recent recipient of P3 Denmark's "Respekten" award. Read more on that here: http://www.dr.dk/p3/p3guld/respekten.asp (in Danish)

I had a feeling this might happen: Magnus Lindberg will be taking over on drum duties on the upcoming Cult of Luna European tour as Thomas Hedlund is busy working with his other projects The Deportees and especially The Perishers. He'll still remain a member of the band, but he's got his other priorities.

Chalksounds has confirmed that the Moonbabies have officially entered the studio and will be releasing a new EP sometime around April.

DJ Martian points out that it's interesting to see that Swedish e-commerce/distro company Dotshop is advertisting internationally: http://djmartian.blogspot.com/2005_01_01_djmartian_archive.html#110614427410314020

P3 Musikjournalen reports that Doktor Kosmos will be releasing a new double-album in April. Read more: http://www.sr.se/p3/musikjournalen/arkiv.asp?DagensDatum=2005-01-19&Artikel=542749 (in Swedish)

Finland's If Society will be releasing the new album from surmacore (that's homicidecore) act Rytmihäiriö on the very-appropriate date of February 14. The album is called "Saatana on herra" ('Satan Is The Lord') and will feature pop hits such as "Tapoit, muuta et muista" ('You killed, that's all you remember'), "Ei ruumis pane pahakseen..." ('The corpse won't mind...') and "Kun työmies lyö" ('As the working man hits') as well as guest appearances from fellow Finns Mika Luttinen (Impaled Nazarene), Trollhorn (Moonsorrow) and Jossu (Diaspora/Life's a Riot). Head over to the band's website for a studio diary and more info: http://www.surmacore.com/

Also in the works from If Society is a remix album from Viola featuring the likes of Roger, Boys Of Scandinavia and Verneri Lumi. It's due out March 24.

And on the If Society touring front, look for Echo is Your Love to do four dates in Russia in February and two-and-a-half weeks with labelmates Fun (see the "IAT reader's companion") in Europe in April/May. Hero Dishonest will also be hitting the road in Europe around May/June and I can personally attest that they are not to be missed.
