I was blown away the first time I heard demos of new material from Seven Feet Four a few months ago. I was ready to post a song and rave about how great it was, but the band wanted to wait until they had the final versions done. Well, I'm happy to say that the wait is over. Today's new mp3 comes from the band's upcoming EP "To kill is easy", due out May 30 via Tenderversion Recordings/Hysteri. I just can't get over how awesome this band is - they truly epitomize all the qualities I love about Swedish indierock when done right. The music is tight, heavy and energetic, but still always remaining incredibly melodic. Even when they throw in discordant harmonies, there's still hooks galore. Just listen to how huge that chorus is! Needless to say, it's already one of my top picks for 2005. Be sure to check them out on tour, too - I hear they absolutely kill live. Here's the latest dates:
05/11 - Tower, Bremen (GER)
05/12 - Winston, Amsterdam (NL) w/Since By Man
05/13 - Lintfabriek, Kontich (BEL) w/Further Seems Forever
05/15 - Substage, Karlsruhe (GER) w/Since By Man, Further Seems Forever
05/16 - Orangehouse, Münich (GER) w/The Album Leaf
05/18 - ACU, Utrecht (NL) w/Funeral Diner
05/19 - AZ, Mülheim (GER) w/These Arms Are Snakes
05/20 - Magnet, Berlin (GER) w/These Arms Are Snakes
05/21 - Nexus, Conspracy Festival, Braunschweig w/These Arms Are Snakes

The band says they were lied to about the release date by their label (it's now May 18 for the single, June 1 for the album) and are offering a full version of the tune "Evil doer" as compensation: http://www.mustasch.net/audio/Mustasch-Evil.Doer.mp3
