Swedish rockers Thunder Express, the band fronted by Robert Persson of The Hellacopters, will be entering Studio Cobra next week to the record their sophomore album. Soundtrack of Our Lives guitarist Mattias Bärjed will produce.

Speaking of the 'Copters, the band is finally succumbing to the inevitable and will be releasing a best-of collection. Thankfully this one won't have one or two previously unreleased songs like most bands trying to cash in on their back-catalogue, but instead will do its best to serve the needs of peeps who may have never heard the band before or don't know where to start with their vast (and I do mean vast) discography. It'll be called "Air raid serenades" and here's the tracklist:

01. (Gotta Get Some Action) Now!
02. Ferrytale
03. Born Broke
04. Soulseller
05. You Are Nothing
06. Like No Other Man
07. Long Gone Losers
08. Move Right Out Of Here
09. The Devil Stole The Beat From The Lord
10. Venus In Force
11. Down Right Blue
12. Crimson Ballroom
13. Hopeless Case Of A Kid In Denial
14. Toys And Flavors
15. No Song Unheard
16. By The Grace Of God
17. Carry Me Home
18. It's Good But It Just Ain't Right
19. Turn The Wrong Key
20. Everything's On T.V.
21. I'm In The Band
22. Bring It On Home

No confirmed release date yet, but plan on mid-August. "Bring it on home" will also be released as a new single and a video by director frequest Hellacopters collaborator Amir Chamdin will be out soon.

This is classic thrashy hardcore ala Tragedy, not like that prefix-core type stuff. I dig it.
