I've recently spent a lot of time revisiting Strip Music these past couple weeks, so I find myself listening to The Kick's new single "Rubicon" and wishing the beat was heavier. But then I come to my senses and realize that it's more than fine as-is and that my prejudiced preconceived notions about what this sort of music ought to sound like are plain foolish. Swedish label has a new website and a whole host of new releases on the way -- First up is the Makthaverskan 7" "Antabus" on May 13 which comes packaged with a totebag and is limited to a mere 120 copies and contains tracks that "will never be released anywhere else." Wish it wasn't 20 EUR, but I guess that's what I get for living in the wrong part of the world.
