Swedish experimental artist Skogar (aka Johannes Brander) will be collaborating with American artist Sharon Van Etten on an upcoming project, due out sometime later this year. In the meantime, check out a review of his most recent cassette release "Magic/Khands" at Foxy Digitalis: http://www.foxydigitalis.com/foxyd/?p=11559
In other news, Skogar's next release will be his first ever on LP as opposed to CS or CDr and it is coming via the newly-founded label . More details on that when I get them.

If you're into early minimal synth, the samples sound killer.
Scraps of Tape will be doing a special art-exhibit/photo-shoot/live-show/video-shoot at Gallery Krets in Malmö on June 17. It's free, but your likeness may be preserved for all eternity as part of the band's documentation of said evening, though that may mean you'll be the world's next big YouTube star (for a moment). Anyhow, there will also be cheap refreshments and the band will premiere some new tunes from the upcoming album and there may even be some extra-special guests. It all goes down at 18:00 and again: it's free. Can't lose.
